Boredom
Sleepy
Sluggishy
Boredom
Sometimes I am too
bored
to do anything,
that even the task
of “thinking”
appears to me to
be too taskful a thing to do.
But soon enough, I
begin to realize
that this is also the
place
where that
familiar old tune
starts to ring in
my ears,
calling me
to re-discover my
lost zing for life;
to pay attention
to re-building my old wings.
And this is where
the sleepy,
sluggishy,
energy of boredom
slowly begins to
alchemize itself
rising upwards
into an energy
of clarity,
meaningfulness and goal.
Most of us humans
tend to think that
the feeling of
boredom is bad.
Or, we tend to
skip it, escape it,
or run away from
it,
because it feels
too heavy to bear.
Or perhaps, we
feel afraid
of becoming bad,
useless or unworthy totally.
Howsoever, if we
pay close attention,
we will realize
that boredom is
not the lack of energy
Rather, it is the
excess of energy
Our mind is taking
some time
to make space for
receiving
this huge fresh
energy
from the universe.
And sooner,
we will start
feeling
excited,
replenished,
and ready to start
again.
But first,
we need to just
sit back
and let our mind
to make space
and complete the
essential
background
processes.
Do not run away
from the feeling
of boredom.
Be still, and
consume it
like a ravishing
beast.
Because that’s who
you are.
And then,
dance baby dance
oh ho ho yeah
yeah!
