Firelight 🔥 | Exhilarating Animated Poetry | Neha's Notebook

there is a place

inside our heart

which is filled with

crystalline starlight.

despite of the

nights of the earth,

here there is a source

of infinite sunlight.

Beyond all intellect,

beyond brain’s all insights,

there is a place

as lucid as the moonlight

Do not hold so tight,

Oh no! Let go of all your fright

And sink straight into your grims and plights.

Just recite

your heart’s verse, alright?

be your own knight.

Yes, the world might backbite,

yet you, keep burning your inner candlelight

never give up on your life’s delight

The path is blocked with

rocks and graphite, yet

always follow your own line of sight

Be brave and mighty

Its not yet the time

for the settling of the twilight.

So, let’s pick up

our own flashlights,

let us all ignite,

this bright, bright firelight!

this bright, bright firelight!

Love yourself first, Sweetheart | Inspirational Poem | Neha's Notebook

Love yourself first, sweetheart.

Piece by piece,

day after day,

you fall apart

Night after night,

crack after crack

breaks your heart

the matrix of suffering

only seems to magnify

since the moment your life starts

smiles remain in fashion

but what about the happiness

don’t you lose it part by part?

honey-sweet words remain evergreen in style

but what about love, “Oh, no-no, sweetheart!”

isn’t your life is just an act, a plastic art?

do you really love someone unconditionally

or do you only look at them only to fulfill

the voids of your hollow-broken heart?

do you live your life engulfed

in the polarity of pluses and minuses

are you a human or like a tiny metal chip

are you merely calculator smart?

do you only calculate currencies and calories

do you only measure graphs and bar charts

or do you remember to calculate the moments

spent in laughters, fun and tarts?

do you only complain about the unlove

and unfairness of life, or do you dare to

look within and burn your own

ignorance, part by part?

relationships are always trendy

but what about connection, do you

connect with the ones you relate to, too

do you sweetheart?

because if you can’t love yourself

without conditions, how could you even

love anyone else, you will only break

more of their heart, part by part.

Better still, leave them apart!

leave all apart,

love yourself first, O sweetheart

love yourself first, O sweetheart!

Book Review | Me Talk Pretty One Day

Me Talk Pretty One DayMe Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

I seem to have a special place in my heart for people who tend to write about the shadow side of humanity without making it appear as if it belongs to either one of the “academically-neat” or “sinfully bad” categories. To me, these are some of the best kind of people in the world. And “Me Talk Pretty One Day” was one of these books that evoked this familiar feeling within me through its handsomly-crafted set of words.

It was a total amusement to read this book, which I started reading the first time during May 2016, and finished only to this day. It was a delight, undoubtedly, to have stumbled upon this book.

This book comes with a series of personal essays divided into several chapters falling in two parts. A perfect sense of comic storytelling and plenty of quirky metaphors, starting from the police agent to the shampoo cocktail, the words are finely stitched together with the string of emotional depth and realness of life experience.

At the end of the book, I am left with a baby laughter in my cheeks, and teardrops emerging in my throat – both at the same time.

Through this book, Mr. Sedaris seems to have gifted me hundreds of moments, commonly connecting, to curate together and build something out of these. Precisely, he shook up the hillybilly inside me!

I think, when you’d read this book, you’ll find it absolutely humorous at first, however, when you’d stop reading it or if you take a break to drink some water, to eat something, to rest or to read the next chapter the following day, you’d find yourself getting really emotional about it in the gap that follows long after the reading has been done and long after the chapter has been finished. Ponderings are to be done, desserts are to be eaten, ink pens are to be taken out of the drawers and some trees are to be taken down in the form of notebook papers. Period.

Rain ☘️ Soothing Sensory Poetry ☘️ Neha's Notebook

droplets of rain

stippling on the streets and lanes,

blocks of charcoal concrete

and pebbles rocky grey

getting painted into

a blanket of watercolour pools

adding a layered texture,

an extra glimmer to each grain

the plains of hot baked mudlands,

falling asleep at the trance of soothening drizzles

enchanted by the cementy fragrance of the petrichor

the boiling desert duststorms, settling peacefully

into a restful slumber, a lake-like rhythm.

the gurgles of thunder, the stormy roars,

sparks of lighting, electric blue skies,

a domino of cloud bursts, shedding misty showers,

tipping itself into infinite tributaries, as the

buttercups of earth unfold itself,

for the saplings to emerge and rise.

as the pinkening breeze flutters dancily

like a mellow whitecloth whispering in the

golden corn fields of the countryside,

the huts hatched in bamboo and straw

murmuring their kitchen smokes in a carefree ride.

the last few beads of rainwater

glistening purple and green

like rhinestones casting their sheen

over grasses long and tenderly rustling leaves

the yellow-green noons getting coloured

atop into the flickering stars of the blue-black sky

thousands of tiny little gems illuminating the

tapestry of the dark-dark night.

sieving through the intricately carved

chambers of the nature’s abundant fortresses

glimpsing through the wildnernesses of greenery

the scintillating white moonlight.

wait, the quiet of a clear morning is here!

Punctuation | Cute Inspirational Poem | Neha's Notebook

Hello!
In this video, I am depicting an animated style version of a poem written by me. It is titled as "PUNCTUATION".

I wrote this poem in a #Project100 challenge during the time of December 2017. This poem features the various concepts of Punctuation, written towards an inspiring mood.

The video contains hundreds of frames which, took me a lot many days to create. The animated style, along with the details and elements presented in the video has been conceptualized and created by me. The cool background music is from Youtube music library. I hope that this poem strikes a cute inspirational vibe in you, as it does for me too.

Lastly, if you enjoyed watching this video and if you would be interested in watching more poems, and concepts like these, subscribe to my channel for staying notified about more exciting videos!

thanking you,

sincerely,
Neha :)

Punctuation

Step outside the brackets,

Stand on top of commas,

And jump as high as you can.

Then slide down the stick in exclamation mark,

And sit in the dot below.

At times, there might be too many apostrophes in your head,

But if you fear falling,

you might miss ride down the exclamation,

But, if you want that world writes your words

In quotation marks,

Then, leave your brackets and take road to some question marks,

Always remember, no matter how many brackets try to imprison you,

In the end, you’ll always reach the full stop.

Be by Neha B. | Electrifying Short Rhyme | Neha's Notebook

Be the moon,

be a child.

Be the kind of wolf

with eyes rosy wild.

Be sensual, fulfilled

and tenderly styled.

Be the infinite ocean,

fiercely roaring yet softly mild.
